Ovation Factory Historic Photos from 1910's
Year: 1966
I acquired these photos from 1910s back in the 2010s from a online photo shop in Connecticut that was about to go out of business. When I first saw them, I immediately thought of the Ovation Factory, so iconic with its red bricks, but I had my doubts because the current layout doesn't quite match whatโs in the pictures. After checking with John Budny from the Factory, who happened to be with the building manager at the time, they confirmed it was indeed the factory, so I ordered two silver gelatin prints. The seller was intrigued and asked me why a Frenchman would be so interested in two old photos of New Hartford! ๐ I shared them with the Ovation team, and I have to admit, Iโm thrilled that they were later used to illustrate official catalogs and even the Ovation booth at trade shows. Iโm sharing them with you here because they make a beautiful wallpaper. ๐
