Celebrating 60 Years of Ovation
Six decades of the roundback revolution
1966 – 2026
Welcome to
OVATION TRIBUTE
Preserving 60 Years of Guitar Heritage
Check these two places on your guitar:
- Back of the headstock — stamped into the wood
- Inside the body — on a label visible through the soundhole, near the neck joint
Adamas owners: angle a light or use your phone camera through the upper soundholes to spot the internal label.
Tip: Don't confuse the 4-digit model number (e.g. 1868) with the serial — the serial is the longer number.
Welcome to our digital museum preserving the heritage of Ovation guitars, from Charles Kaman's first prototype to the modern instruments of today, through hundreds of photos and documents.

THE STORY
All documents presented here are free to download for strictly personal, non-commercial use. While I own many of the physical items shown here, the intellectual property remains with the brand or the generous individuals who have shared them with the community.
PARTNERS & FRIENDS
To keep this site vibrant and evolving, please don't hesitate to contact me to share your own documents or photos of your Ovation guitars with the community.
None of this would have been possible without my friend Tom, who did a remarkable job building this new "OT 2.0" version.
We hope you enjoy your visit.
